London, England

(June 6, 2005)

We visited Buckingham Palace and saw the changing of the guards.

There was much pagentry! The ceremony took about 45 minutes and they do it once a day in the summer

and every other day in the winter. (Guess they stay on duty a long time!)

I do have a video of the event I toook also.

Dogbert thinks its nice that they do this especially for him!

David, Dad, Dogbert visit the queen. Tally-ho!

Dogbert likes to visit the Hard Rock Cafe wherever we go.

Does anyone have the time?

This and the next few pictures are of the regiment called the Queen's life guards and their office/parade grounds.

This group is responsible for the personal protection of the Queen and travel with her. This is in addition to

the two regiments that guard Buckingham Palace.

Trafalgar square where there is the statue of Lord Horatio Nelson who defeated the combined French/Spanish

fleets.

Just lion-ing around at Trafalgar Square!

Dogbert is really just a pussy cat!

Now how do I get down?

Dogbert does get nervous around water. He doesn't know how to swim, not even the dog paddle!

Westminster Abbey is right across the street from the Parliament / Big Ben. The details above the door are so ornate!

They did not allow pictures inside but I did buy postcards there. This is where so many famous people are

buried, from Kings and Queens, valiant warriors, to Charles Dickens and Rudyard Kipling.

All the coronations and many state weddings are held here also.
